Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
At Nailin Esthetic we respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit nailinesthetic.com or message us, what we use it for and what rights you have under the laws of the State of Maryland and the United States.
Who we are
Nailin Esthetic is a facial and body aesthetics studio in Silver Spring, Maryland (United States), run by Lina Cano. You can contact us on WhatsApp at +1 (202) 352-7382.
Information we collect
- When you message us on WhatsApp: your name, your phone number and any information you choose to share (for example, the treatment you are interested in or details about your skin). This website has no forms: we do not store personal data on it.
- When you visit the website: anonymous or aggregated browsing data, such as the pages you visit, the time you spend on them, the type of device, your approximate city or country and whether you click the WhatsApp buttons.
Information about your health and skin
To recommend a safe treatment we may ask you about your skin, your health, allergies, medications or surgeries. Under Maryland law this information is considered sensitive data. We only ask for it when it is strictly necessary to care for you, we use it only for your treatment, we never sell it and we never use it for advertising.
How we use your information
- To reply to your messages, book your consultation or appointment and share the location once it is confirmed.
- To follow up on your treatment when appropriate.
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve it and measure the results of our advertising.
We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their own commercial purposes. We currently do not use it for targeted advertising or to create automated profiles either. If we use advertising tools in the future (for example, Google Ads), we will update this policy before doing so and give you a simple way to opt out. We honor the opt-out signals your browser sends, such as Global Privacy Control.
Cookies and Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC, to understand statistically how the website is used. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies that collect information such as your browser, device, approximate location (Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses) and the pages visited. Google processes this information under its own policy: how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or prevent Google Analytics from recording your visit with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We also use a technical cookie that only remembers that you have already seen our free consultation notice, so we do not show it to you again. It contains no personal data.
For security reasons, our web hosting provider records technical data about visits (such as the IP address, the date and the page requested) to protect the website against attacks. These records are used only for that purpose and are deleted periodically.
Third-party services
The website contains links to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. When you use them, those platforms process your data under their own privacy policies, which we recommend you review. WhatsApp conversations are subject to the WhatsApp (Meta) privacy policy.
Promotional messages
We will only send you promotions or reminders by WhatsApp or text message if you give us permission. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying “STOP” or messaging us.
How we protect your information
We take reasonable measures to protect your information: access limited to those who need it to care for you, passwords and secure connections (HTTPS). If a security incident ever affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Maryland law (Maryland Personal Information Protection Act).
How long we keep your information
We keep your messages and contact details for as long as you are a client or as long as necessary to care for you and meet our legal obligations. Google Analytics statistical data is kept according to Google’s retention settings.
Your rights
Under the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Know whether we hold information about you and get a copy in an easy-to-use format.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Know the categories of third parties we share it with.
- Opt out of the sale of your data, targeted advertising and profiling (we do not currently carry out any of these activities).
To exercise any of these rights, message us on WhatsApp at +1 (202) 352-7382. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will respond within 45 days at most and will not charge you or treat you differently for exercising your rights.
If you disagree with our response, you can appeal by messaging us through the same channel and we will respond within 60 days. If you are still not satisfied after the appeal, you can file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General (marylandattorneygeneral.gov).
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them, in accordance with the federal COPPA law. We never sell or use for targeted advertising the data of anyone under 18. Treatments for minors require the authorization of their parent or legal guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. We will post the current version here with its update date.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland and the federal laws of the United States.
This is a translation of our Spanish privacy policy. If there is any difference between the two versions, the Spanish version prevails.
